Examination of a range of issues related to particular indigenous communities and regions of North America. Topics include political, socio-economic, and cultural transformations, Aboriginal title and rights, collaborative research, and other topics relevant to indigenous communities and indigenous – non-indigenous relations. Precludes additional credit for ANTH 3610. Prerequisite(s): ANTH 1001 or ANTH 1002 or ANTH 1003 [1.0], or 1.0 credit at the 1000-level in SOCI, AFRI, ENGL, GEOG, HIST, HUMR, INDG, JOUR, PSCI, RELI or WGST.Lecture three hours a week.
