Introduction to the socio-cultural study of science, technology and the environment including the cultural character of contemporary technology, the generation and cultural construction of knowledge through science, and the implications of science and technology for cultural livelihood and ecological sustainability. Prerequisite(s): ANTH 1001 and ANTH 1002, or ANTH 1003 [1.0], or SOCI 1001 and SOCI 1002, or SOCI 1003 [1.0], and third-year standing.Lectures and discussion three hours a week.
