This calculus-based course introduces electricity, magnetism, oscillations, waves and optics. The laboratory is an essential and autonomous part of the course. Precludes additional credit for PHYS 1002 and PHYS 1008. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1004, ECOR 1101 (may be taken concurrently) or PHYS 1001 or PHYS 1003 or PHYS 1007 (a grade of at least B- is required for PHYS 1007), or permission of the Department.Lectures three hours a week, laboratory or tutorial three hours a week.
